Tough Loss

It was a disappointing day for the Hillcats! Both teams played hard and both teams came up short when the time ran out. The Lady Hillcats played an awesome game and played their hearts out. Good job ladies! The Hillcat men, what can I say - we came out pumped and ready to play. We just didn't play hard enough. We gave up too many easy baskets and didn't finish the game out hard enough. A loss is already tough but its even harder to handle when its at home against a team we know we should have beaten. Losing puts a bad taste in your mouth, but don't sit in misery too long because one loss can turn into mulitple losses.

When defeat has hit you head on, you have two choices. . . . give up or go harder! Don't hold your head down, pick your head up, stick your chest out and keep moving forward. Don't feel sorry for yourself -  build on what your lacking, strenghten your focus, your energy and your will to win. At the end of the day know that you did everything in your power to get better and help your team get better. You may have lost the battle but the war is still to come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
